Chateau Romefort Haut-Médoc
70% Merlot
30% Cabernet Sauvignon
“The 2018 Chateau Romefort is a bigger, richer wine than the 2019 and has darker cherry and currant fruits as well as notes of tobacco, cured meats and spice. Medium bodied, full bodied, round and impressively textured, it’s one heck of an impressive Haut-Medoc to drink over the coming decade.”

The Producer
In the 19th century Chateau Romefort was created with agricultural land dedicated to pasture and the cultivation of vines and orchards.
In the 20th century, the vineyard plots and the name of the wine “Chateau Romefort” were attached to Chateau Lamothe de Bergeron, and the wine was classified as a Cru Bourgeois. Today Chateau Lamothe-Bergeron is bringing the wine and its history back to life by reviving the Chateau Romefort brand. The original plots of land have been identified in the south of the village of Cussac-Fort-Medoc and the 18 hectares are dedicated to the production of this wine.
