Casale dello Sparviero Chianti Classico, Gran Selezione D.O.C.G.
From the selection of the best Sangiovese grapes comes a wine of rare elegance, structure and personality, with an extraordinary finesse and ability to evolve over time. This Chianti Classico takes its name from one of the company’s historic vineyards located on the Paronza hill, in Castellina in Chianti.
An important and austere wine, with great structure and personality.
It has a ruby red color with intense garnet reflections; on the nose it opens with hints of cherry and vanilla notes; on the palate it is powerful, tannic and dry with an aftertaste of blackberries and sweet tobacco.

The Producer
Our winery: an ancient monastery from the XVII century in which sparrowhawks are wont to do their nest. That’s why the sparrowhawk is still our symbol. The company spans over a total of 380 hectares. 90 hectares are vineyards at an altitude of 250 meters (commonly considered optimal for the production of Chianti Classico).
The production is focused mainly on the red wines, because we strongly believe in maximizing our efforts on the traditional products of the region.
